Un amigo mío me envió esto ya que sabe que actualmente estoy usando Codename One en un proyecto después de mirar varias otras alternativas.
Me encanta el hecho de que funciona con Java y lo hace realmente bien. Pude instalarlo y ejecutarlo casi al instante con NetBeans, lo que también fue muy conveniente.
Es mayormente fluido cuando se compara con las otras herramientas que miré, inicialmente tuve algunos problemas para conseguir que el certificado/construcción funcionara pero contacté con el soporte en y conseguí que funcionara.
Conseguir el aspecto que quería requirió algo de trabajo pero me apunté al curso online que tienen en el sitio (sólo el gratuito) y me acercó bastante a lo que estoy intentando hacer. Todavía no he publicado la aplicación sobre todo por mi procrastinación personal pero funciona bien en mi teléfono.
The things I liked:
- Java
- Great help and support - the docs are pretty good too and what I didn’t find there I usually found on stackoverflow
- Real easy to debug and customize
The things I didn’t like:
- It took me a while to get the design “right”. Once I understood the concept it worked nicely though but initially I struggled
- Certificates in iOS builds are a pain - I doubt it’s their fault though
Notice I’m on the free account and doing a side project so I’m not sure how applicable this experience is to your needs.
