How to uninstall Chrome on Windows 10

Method 1 :

  • Go to Control Panel.
  • Under the Programs and Features, select uninstall a program.
  • A list of programs currently installed in your PC will be displayed.
  • Navigate to Chrome in the list.
  • Double click it.
  • It’ll ask your confirmation.
  • Confirm to uninstall Chrome from your PC.
  • To delete your profile information, like bookmarks and history, check "Also delete your browsing data."

Method 2 : (Exclusive to Windows 10)

  • On your computer, close all Chrome windows and tabs.
  • Click the Start menu Settings.
  • Click System.
  • On the left, click Apps and features.
  • Find and click Google Chrome.
  • Click uninstall.
  • Confirm by clicking uninstall.
  • To delete your profile information, like bookmarks and history, check "Also delete your browsing data."

If you’re getting errors, then better follow this :

  • Go to the drive where Windows 10 is installed. (C: in most of the cases)
  • Go to Program Files -> Google -> Chrome.
  • Shift+Delete the entire folder.
  • If any error occurs, then take the ownership of the folder. Follow this : Add Take Ownership to Context Menu in Windows 10
  • Now delete the folder.
  • Reboot. This method would work for sure.
