Solution: Disable the SnapTo feature. Download and install the updated pointer files from the Microsoft Download Center.

Cause 3: Touchpad conflict with the mouse.
Solution:
- Go to Control Panel.
- Click on Mouse, then "Device Settings".
- Check the box that says, " Disable internal pointing devices when external USB pointing device is attached"

- Open Control Panel
- Click on 'Mouse'
- Go to 'Device Setting' tab.
- Under that there will be a list of devices.
- Disable the 'touchscreen device' if you are using a external pointing device i.e. mouse or vice versa.
Cause 4: Poor touchscreen calibration (applies to touchscreen laptops or desktops).
Solution: Recalibration.
- Open Control Panel.
- Select Hardware and sound.
- Under this option find Tablet PC settings.
- Click on “Calibration the screen for pen or touch input”.
